Qualifications of Human Resource Managers – Education Versus Experience

Many companies hire entry-level human resource management after they obtain a bachelor’s degree, providing training and experience from thereon. In some cases, an MBA is necessary regarding some specialized functions. Particularly for business careers involving research and analytical functions, the master’s level of education will be required.

This degree may be funded by some organizations. It is always advisable to ask prospective employers about their training policy, and when interviewing for a position in HR, the question would signify knowledge about the field.

In addition to education, training, and experience, there are certain qualities and characteristics that tend to receive advancement in HR. Interpersonal and communication skills are highly useful for most positions and specialties, and even for those specialties for which they are not ostensibly required, social capacity is still a factor.
